History & Mission
A small neighborhood non-profit, Hamline Midway Elders (HME) was founded in 2001 as A Living at Home/Block Nurse Program by a group of volunteers and community leaders. HME is now a member of The Living at Home Network, but its mission is still the same: to provide volunteer and professional assistance to enable elders to remain in their own homes with independence, dignity and choice.
As in the past, we continue to offer tailored assistance to do whatever it takes to help seniors remain well at home.
The Living at Home Network Annual Report is available here:
A number of individuals helped to establish the program. Thanks to the Midway Monitor for sharing this photo from their April 2002 issue.
