Hamline Midway Elders works closely with a number of programs and organizations that help us increase our capacity to serve and support neighborhood older adults. These wonderful community partners include the following:
Co-sponsors community events, presents at monthly luncheons, provides door prizes and silent auctions items.
Hosts four to five book giveaway events at various locations per year.
Hamline Church United Methodist
Provides low-cost rent for office and event space, co-sponsors community events, facilitates the SPROUT garden to grow and donate vegetables to neighborhood elders.
Hamline Midway Library
Co-sponsors Jody's Documentary Film Series and occasional art programs, provides space for Chair Yoga classes.
Provides interns and other volunteers, donates tickets to arts and sporting events, provides technical assistance related to health and exercise.
Provides free blood pressure checks at monthy events and provides discounted home care for neighborhood seniors.
St. Paul Public Housing Agency
Refers seniors from Hamline Hi-Rise and assists in events we host at that location.
University of Minnesota Extension (Health & Nutrition)
Provides cooking/nutrition classes, presents at monthly luncheons.
Coordinates a summer youth group chore service.
