Monica Gallagher began as Volunteer Coordinator at Hamline Midway Elders in 2001. Her duties grew over time, and she is now the Service Director. Originally from O’Neill, Nebraska, she has a BA in English and Spanish from St. Catherine University. In college, she volunteered as a friendly visitor for a Living at Home neighborhood program. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, reading, pets, skating, jogging, and spending time with her husband and young-adult children. Her passions include advocacy for neurodiversity and mental health issues.

Nicole Bailey, Program Director

Nicole manages the HME office, and all finances and fundraising, as well as coordinating events and programs. She brings a wealth of experience in program management and community engagement. Until recently, Nicole served as a project assistant with the Donovan Group, a communications firm that supports public schools across the country. Before that, she spent several years as a program manager at Hunger Solutions, where she worked to address food insecurity across Minnesota. She serves on the board of Open Your Heart to the Hungry & Homeless, a local nonprofit. Nicole also owns and operates a small antique business, selling both online and in a few local shops. She holds a master’s degree in Public Health Administration and Policy from the University of Minnesota. She and her husband live in the West Seventh neighborhood of St. Paul.

Jenia Strom, Program Director

Jenia coordinates events and programs, communications and outreach, and works with our HME community directly both in-home and through programs. Jenia has worked in education, nonprofits, and community engagement in the Twin Cities for over twenty years, having started her career as a high school social studies teacher. She lives in Minneapolis with her husband Eric and her two daughters Annie and Siri. Most of her time away from work is spent supporting her kids at their Saint Paul Central High School activities and serving as president on the board of the Theatre Boosters there. She also loves to garden, host family and friends, and to travel.

Stacy Hinton, Independent Living Coach

Stacy has a Bachelors degree in Psychology, a certificate in Marriage counseling and a Masters in Human Services from Northwestern University. She has worked in the private and public sector as an employment counselor, and as a behavioral analyst/designated coordinator.
As Independent Living Coach, Stacy provides individual supports to some seniors in the Hamline Midway Elders service area. This includes individual wellness and coordination of other services.
